FBI director Kash Patel shot down conspiracy theories that President Donald Trump was behind the massive NBA gambling bust because of their activism, and said he is the FBI director and he decides which arrests to conduct and which not to. As he prevailed at an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham and laughed off the Trump link suggestion by Stephen A Smith, social media users trolled Patel and suggested that when it comes to Epstein, he can't make any decision whatsoever.
What did Stephen A Smith say: 'He's coming'
The ESPN host said he watched Patel's press conference where he announced the arrest of 30 individuals, including the Miami Heat’s Terry Rozier, ex-Cleveland Cavaliers player and assistant coach Damon Jones, and Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups -- and said it was all a media spectacle.
“We’ve seen accusations before. We’ve seen athletes get in trouble with the law before. You don’t see the director of the FBI having a press conference. It’s not coincidental. It’s not an accident. It’s a statement, and it’s a warning that more is coming," Smith said, adding that it was all Trump's work.
'Single dumbest thing I've ever heard of'
When Patel was confronted with the allegation, he said, “I’m the FBI director. I decide which arrest to conduct and which not to conduct." “That may be the single dumbest thing I’ve ever heard out of anyone in modern history. And I live most of my time in Washington, DC,” Patel said.
'Kash Patel has all intel on the NBA gambling scheme'
Social media users ripped Kash Patel and his meltdown, asserting himself as the FBI chief and questioning that he has all the intel on the NBA gambling scheme but nothing on Epstein and Diddy.
As a MAGA influencer, Kash Patel stoked conspiracy theories for years that sex offender Epstein probably did not die of suicide in his prison cell only to confirm that when he became the FBI director.
