NEW DELHI: The monsoon session of Parliament will begin on July 21 and conclude on August 12, parliamentary affairs minister Kiren Rijiju announced on Wednesday.
The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, chaired by defence minister Rajnath Singh, has recommended the dates, Rijiju told reporters here. He added that the recommendation will be sent to President Droupadi Murmu for convening the session.
The announcement comes against the backdrop of a demand for special session by opposition leaders to discuss Operation Sindoor.
"Every session is special for us. All important matters can be discussed. The business advisory committee of both the Houses will take a call on the issues to be discussed," Rijiju stated.
