The UK is experiencing a heatwave, and one of the best ways to take the edge off the humidity is ice cream. Shoppers can now make their own at home with the Ninja Creami.
Amazon is currently selling the gadget for £153, but ticking the box for a voucher code drops the price down to £135.20 - making it the cheapest that Amazon has ever sold it for, as CamelCamelCamel shows.
Potentially a perfect appliance for the summer heat, the Creami is loaded with features, offering a wide range of frozen desserts. As is often the way with Ninja, it's seemingly gone viral, making it really easy to find recipes online. When using the Ninja Creami, users first have to make and freeze the ice cream base, before using the Creami to turn it into the dessert of your choice once it's frozen.
It comes with a 1.4L container of ice cream, and shoppers can make three different flavours at once to please all tastes. It also has dishwasher-safe tubs and removable parts for easy cleaning.
There's also plenty of alternatives to go for. There's the Cuisinart ice cream maker - £49 on Amazon - uses a frozen bowl, so users can make their ice cream in about 25 minutes instead. A pricier alternative to the Cuisinart option is the £199Lakeland Compressor Ice Cream Maker. This can make 1.5litres of ice cream 'in under an hour' as stated on the brand's site.
Customers praise how easy it is to use and how easy it is to clean. One reviewer said: "It's super easy to use, in fact, the hardest part of making super creamy ice cream is having the patience to wait for it to freeze for 24 hours."
Others love the variety that comes with making your own ice cream at home and said: "custard ice cream, strawberry and yoghurt, peach sorbet ... pineapple sorbet and sweet potato ice cream." Another shopper added: "I absolutely love the Ninja Creami. It's innovative and easy to use. I've had the machine for a few days now and have created some amazing desserts that are 0% sugar and 0% fat."
However, some have called out that it's a little noisy and added: "it is very, very loud so if this could be fixed, it would be amazing".
