According to the doctor, liver damage is caused by toxins and infections. Obesity and excessive alcohol consumption can also cause liver problems, which weaken the body. If the problem persists for a long time, it can cause liver lesions, which are life-threatening because they cause liver failure. The early signs of liver problems should not be ignored so that they can be cured with timely treatment. Ignoring these symptoms can worsen the condition, which may lead to a liver transplant.
Feeling tired for no reason
According to the doctor, if you feel constantly tired without any reason, then this is the first sign of liver problem. The liver plays an important role in energy metabolism. When the liver does not function properly, the energy level starts falling.
Jaundice or yellowing of the skin and eyesThis happens when bilirubin starts accumulating in the blood. In this condition, the liver is unable to digest it properly, due to which diseases like hepatitis or liver cirrhosis arise.
Always feeling fullFeeling uneasy in the upper right side of the stomach or feeling full all the time is a symptom of swelling or fluid accumulation in the liver. This is called ascites, which is a type of liver disease.
Change in urine colorA sudden change in the colour of urine or stool is a sign of bile problem. If the urine is dark and the colour of the stool is muddy, then it shows that the liver is not able to remove waste from the body properly.
Deterioration of digestionWhen the liver does not function properly, it affects the digestion process and absorption of nutrients, leading to reduced appetite and weight loss.
What to do to keep the liver healthy?The doctor said that if any of these symptoms are seen, then contact the doctor immediately so that the liver can be saved from getting damaged. The treatment of the disease is decided on the basis of the type of problem in the liver. Antiviral medicines are given for viral hepatitis and lifestyle and diet changes are advised.
