Thomas Skinner lets slip Strictly spoiler ahead of live BBC show

Thomas Skinner may have accidentally let slip a spoiler about the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing live show in a recent motivational tweet. The BBC series' launch show returned over the weekend where the professional dance partners of this year's celebrities were revealed.

The Apprentice's Thomas has been paired up with beloved dancer, Amy Dowden, with the 34-year-old admitting he is "learning fast and training hard" with her. Along with a professional shot of him wearing a suit as he leaned on a few pallets outside a café, he said on X/Twitter: "Good Morning and happy Monday you lovely people! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

"I love a Monday morning, new day, new week, new start. Always Stay positive and happy. Work hard and don't never give up. Be open to opinions and keep learning. Surround yourself with happy, warm and genuine people!

"But never take any criticism from anyone you wouldn’t take advice from! Now let’s go and smash the day. The live show for strictly start this Saturday, so gonna be working double hard in that dance studio this week."

He then went on to possibly reveal the dance he and Amy will be doing as he added: "I'm currently looking like a Wadrobe doing the Waltz at the minute cus of the size of me. But I’m learning fast and training hard! Sending love to you and your families. Let’s go smash today. Bosh"

It comes after Strictly Come Dancing fans claimed they spotted early tensions between Amy and Thomas.

Thomas, who is best known for competing on The Apprentice in 2019, was paired with Welsh dancing expert Amy. But some viewers are convinced they saw the beginnings of a tense working relationship between the pair.

Eyebrows were raised when show hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly introduced the coupled up dancers and interviewed them about their early experiences together. Talking to Thomas and Amy in the green room, Claudia asked the former Apprentice hopeful what his dream Strictly breakfast would be.

He replied: "The best breakfast. We're going down Dino's cafe, nice and early, before we get started, get spicy Korean noodles, with chicken breasts and poached eggs and a little bit of Tabasco sauce.

He continued: "Or, if you don't fancy that, we can have the sunshine chicken curry with the round chips."

The TV star went on to suggest he would be able to freshen his breath with chewing gum before they needed to dance close together. But viewers were convinced they could smell friction between the pair.

"Oh Amy you poor thing getting put with skinner," one person said on X. And another shared a similar screenshot and wrote: "Amy Dowden’s face speaking for everybody at the same time… #Strictly #TomSkinner."
