Jeremy Clarkson reveals update on next series of Clarkson's Farm amid 'hiatus' concerns

Jeremy Clarkson has delivered a much-anticipated update regarding the future of Clarkson's Farm amid concerns of a 'hiatus'. The ex-Top Gearpresenter, who has shifted his focus to agricultural life and brewing, has reassured supporters that "the show must go on" after previously disclosing that the reality series would be pausing following the fifth instalment, scheduled to broadcast next year.

The 64-year-old sparked concern when he hinted that filming crews might not return to Diddly Squat farm for subsequent episodes. Nevertheless, with production now concluded for the upcoming series, Jeremy has suggested that the programme will certainly make a comeback eventually.

In his recent column, he penned: "It's likely that the brilliant guys who edit our show will find some nuggets of humour in the mix and that there'll be some laughs in season five and in the relentless sunshine, the Cotswolds did look fantastic."

He wrote for The Sun: "But at the coalface it was knackering. Are we carrying on? Well, we've sent the cameras away to give us a break from that side of things for a while, but yup.

Kaleb's out there now in his tractor and after I've finished writing this I'll be joining him. The show goes on," reports the Daily Star.

The fifth series is expected to feature some heartbreaking scenes as Clarkson's Oxfordshire farm was recently hit by an outbreak of bovine tuberculosis and was compelled to enter lockdown, with activities halting for two months.

Bovine tuberculosis, a respiratory illness caused by bacteria, necessitates the euthanasia of all infected livestock.

Tragically, one of his cows, pregnant with twins, tested positive.

He explained: "Even though she was pregnant with twins, she had to be destroyed. And what happens to her after that? Burned? Dissolved in acid? Nope. She goes into the food chain like any other farm animal."

Meanwhile, the former Top Gear presenter turned farmer recently opened up about the gruelling challenges he and his team have faced while filming the upcoming fifth series of the hit Amazon Prime show.

But fans hoping for another light-hearted dose of tractor mishaps, cuddly animals, and countryside banter are in for a shock. “It isn’t,” Clarkson bluntly stated. “Because the last 12 months have been a conveyor belt of misery.”

Last week, the star revealed the cast and crew wrapped filming for series five. He took to Instagram to share a photograph of himself alongside girlfriend Lisa Hogan and the entire Diddly Squat Farm team, including Kaleb Cooper, Charlie Ireland and Gerald Cooper. Jeremy wrote beneath the image: "Season 5. It's a wrap.”
