'I was at the Inside Soap Awards and here's four things you didn't see happen'

The Inside Soap Awards - where the stars of the biggest soaps including Emmerdale, Coronation Street and EastEnders battle it out to take home the biggest awards including Best Soap, Best Villain and Best Exit.

Soaps are full of drama, twists and chaos - and an awards ceremony and red carpet isn't much different. We celebrated the big wins of the night with the soap stars as they walked the red carpet at the glitzy London venue.

Here's all the stuff you don't see behind the scenes - and something we shouldn't tell you!

Backstage chaos

It might look very glamourous from the glossy pictures you see in newspapers and magazines but actually it's nothing like that. The red carpet is full of journalists and photographers, all keen to get the best pictures and lines!

Whilst it all looks very relaxed and calm, there is always a lot of chaos backstage - and a lot of camera equipment too!

Juicy gossip

The soap stars are always on hand and willing to share the latest dramas about what's going in the Dales or behind the bar at the Rovers Return. But with their PRs behind them, they're careful not to let slip too much.

However, one star nearly let slip a huge spoiler and had to stop themselves before they revealed too much!

Drama ahead

Some of the soap stars teased some really big storylines around Christmas. One set of soap stars admitted there was action and drama around the festive period - but what's going to happen?

Another soap star teased one long running couple could come out even stronger after some recent hard times. But what couples are in trouble - and who's going to make it to the next step of their relationship?

Missing famous faces

The awards always bring out some of the biggest stars, but we don't always get to chat to them. The way the carpet is laid out means that there is a place for photography, where the celebrities gather to have their photos.

The journalists are positioned on another part of the carpet and sometimes you can't quite catch the celebrities before they make their way to the actual award ceremony.

We didn't get a chance to speak to some of the stars on the red carpet - but that's because there are so many there and so little time - but there's lot of gossip coming so keep a look out!
