Now we are seeing how he likes it.
Because if you've heard of the terrible case of Josef Fritzl, brace yourself.
If you have, don't be fooled by the fact that he is now a frail, 90-year-old pensioner. The former construction worker is a monster.

Millions of people around the world retched in 2008, as details emerged of what the guy did to his own daughter.
They came out after an unassuming young woman named Elisabeth Fritzl told investigators in Austria that she’d been held captive by her dad for 24 years. Yes, you read that correctly.
Her father had raped her, assaulted her and sexually abused her. Over two and a half decades you can only imagine the kind of unspeakable horror she’d been subjected to, imprisoned in a concealed area he’d built in the cellar of their family home.
The rapes saw her give birth to seven children who were also kept hostage by Fritzl Sir with Elisabeth in the bowels of the property.
He would cremate one of the kids who died shortly after being born. Three were left down in the cellar - forced at times to watch evil Fritzl Snr continue to violate their mother in horrific circumstances, many of which are still too distressing to recount here.

The other three supposedly lucky kids at least saw a bit of daylight as they were brought up in the family home upstairs by Fritzl and his wife Rosemarie.
Somehow the pair managed to convince police the youngsters had been abandoned.
But in April 2008, Elisabeth somehow convinced Fritzl Snr to take her to the hospital to see one of her older. daughters who'd fallen ill. Suspicious police detained them and it was only after promising her that she would never have to see her vile dad ever again that she began to reveal the story that would stun them and shock the world.
A year later, Fritzl Snr was sentenced to life imprisonment. Now 90, he has shamelessly claimed through his lawyer that he has been inside for long enough. That he longs to be free to roam the Austrian countryside once again.
Is he having a laugh?
Neither his daughter nor his “grandchildren” will ever truly recover from the hell he put them through. Elisabeth would have been 22 when he locked her in the dungeon which would become her prison.
You can only imagine how many times she’d have begged, pleaded, implored him to let her go - only to have him look her in the eye and continue to force himself on her.
It defies belief that he would convince himself that, for him, 16 years is enough. It doesn’t come close. It doesn’t begin to atone for the nightmare he inflicted on an entire family.
It doesn’t touch the sides in terms of the physical and emotional scars that may never heal for Elisabeth and her kids.
Fritzl Snr’s cage is where his story should end. Nobody in their right mind seriously believes he should ever see daylight again.
His lawyer, Astrid Wagner, exclusively told my colleague, The Mirror’s Andy Lines: “He would really like to get some fresh air, and to listen to the sound of the birds chirping.
“He would most likely go out for coffee and I would go with him. Eating ice cream in the summer and drinking coffee in the winter are things he would like to do very much at a cafe.
“He really loves sweet things. “So he still enjoys the idea of hiking and likes the idea of going off up into the mountains.”
Elisabeth would have loved all those things. Her children too. They never came.
You suspect Wagner is well aware that the case of Josef Fritzl and the campaign to try and free him are money for old rope. She's welcome to fill her boots.
But while some people deserve a second chance, others are just too dangerous to set free.
