A “disgusted” woman was left in tears and feeling ill when she bit into - and claims she found a dead cockroach hidden within. Amberleigh Webb, 23, had finished shopping at the Costco, in Chingford, East London, with partner Shannon Lucas, 24, when they bought a salad each.
The pair were tucking into their lunches in the store’s car park when Amberleigh spotted something odd in her £5 chicken Caesar. Looking a little closer, she said she realised it was a dead bug - which made her feel sick to her stomach and complain back at the store.
Amberleigh said: “I felt so violated. I actually cried because I was so disgusted. It was moments after leaving the store and when I went in for my third bite, I saw the bug and screamed. I was so shocked, I couldn't believe I saw a bug.

Amberleigh says the incident has put her off shopping at Costco for life.
She added: "It's put me off eating any food from there. I will never buy any food from Costco again."

Last year a shopper was shocked when he found sat inside his fridge.

Lee Westacott, 39, believed the locust was lurking in the bag of celery he bought and made its escape after the bag had been opened.
He said: " I was a bit shocked at first but my son was amazed with it. It was probably about three inches - it's quite a big bug. It's like a jacked-up grasshopper.
“We bought some celery and some other bits of veg so I'm guessing it's come out of one of those packets. I have contacted [] and they've sent me an email back saying they'll give me a £5 goodwill voucher to use for a future shop.
"Initially, I didn't know if it had been all over the food in the fridge."
