Roll up, roll up! It’s fairground season and families across the country will be flooding their local parks, hoping to hook a duck or bag a giant bear. But what if the funfair was open year-round? And served cocktails?
If that sounds more like your cup of tea than queueing for the tea cups, look no further than Canary Wharf’s Fairgame - but be sure to leave the kids at home. A day in the office had left our team thirsty for a pint - and victory - and we knew exactly where to go. But we needed to fuel up first.

The Bumper Bar serves up a variety of signature cocktails, plus the usual fare and a range of beers, wines and soft drinks, too.
Once our stomachs were full and we had roused enough liquid courage, it was time to play.
Over nine games we battled it out to see who would claim the top spot.
But this isn’t like your normal funfair.
Each game is kitted out with RFID tech and uses a scannable games card to register who’s playing.
This in turn is hooked up to a digital leader board, so we always knew who was winning.
Unfortunately, it was almost never me.
While this glitzy venue might not be quite like the fairground you loved as a kid, it’s sure to bring back fond memories.
If you’re any good, you might even be able to bag a bear in recognition of your victory.
If your hand-eye coordination is anything like mine, however, I wouldn’t get your hopes up.
