Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, often in the spotlight for reasons beyond cricket, is once again making headlines — this time for renting an apartment in Mumbai owned by actress and former Miss World India Natasha Suri.
Chahal has signed a rental agreement for Natasha Suri’s 1,399-square-foot apartment located in Andheri West, one of Mumbai’s prominent neighborhoods. The agreement was formalized on February 4, 2025. According to reports, the monthly rent is Rs 3 lakh, and Chahal has also paid a security deposit of Rs 10 lakh. The agreement is valid for two years, with a clause for a five percent hike in rent after the first year.
Controversy Over the Move to Mumbai
This development has stirred conversations online, especially considering that Chahal’s recent divorce from Dhanashree Verma was reportedly linked to disagreements over where to live. Dhanashree wanted to settle in Mumbai, while Chahal was said to prefer staying in Haryana to remain close to his family.
Now that Chahal has chosen to move to Mumbai, social media users are questioning the timing and reason behind his decision. Some are speculating whether this shift indicates a new relationship or whether the reasons behind the divorce were different from what was initially believed.
Who is Natasha Suri?
Natasha Suri is a well-known name in the Indian entertainment industry. Crowned Miss World India in 2006, she has since worked as a model, television host, and actress. Her Mumbai apartment, now rented by Chahal, reflects her prominence in the city's celebrity circle.
As of now, neither Chahal nor Suri has made any public statements about the rental agreement or the speculations surrounding it.
