Meerut (Uttar Pradesh), May 6: In a horrific incident, a young boy was severely injured after a stray dog who was affected with rabies attacked him in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut. The terrifying attack was caught on the CCTV cameras installed in the area and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. An image has also surfaced on the internet in which it can be seen that the dog has chewed off his upper lip.
The shocking incident reportedly occurred in Ruhasa village which falls under the Daurala Police Station area. The 8-year-old boy was attacked by the dog while he was playing outside his house in the streets.
The boy has been identified as Anas and was suddenly attacked by the dog which bit and scratched him badly, leaving him in a critical condition. After the attack, the injured boy was rushed to a hospital in Delhi, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
The horrifying attack was captured on a CCTV camera and the video has gone viral on social media. The horrific incident sparked anger and fear among the villagers, who reportedly caught the dog and killed the innocent animal to prevent it from harming others.
After the horrific incident which came to light, the villagers have demanded that the authorities take immediate steps to control the stray dog menace to ensure the safety of children and other residents.
Many incidents have come to light in the recent past in which many people have suffered serious injuries in dog attacks. In a recent incident, a woman fell off 20-feet after a pet dog attacked her in Greater Noida West. The incident was reported to have occurred in a posh colony and the woman suffered serious injuries to her spinal cord after falling from such height.
