Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A newly married couple was found hanging in Panched village of Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam on Wednesday morning.
The bodies of Jitendra Bagri and his wife Durga were recovered after being found hanging from the roof of their house.
As soon as the incident was reported, rural SDOP Kishore Patanwala and other police officers reached the spot.
Initial investigation revealed that Jitendra was married to Durga only four months ago.
The police have launched an investigating into the matter to discover the reasons behind the incident. The bodies of both deceased were also sent to Ratlam Medical College for post-mortem.
Regarding the matter, family members said that both slept at 12 am on Tuesday night. The door was locked from inside. When they did not wake up in the morning, father Amba Ram went and knocked on the door.
But, there was no response from inside. Panicked, other members of the house also arrived at the spot.
As the family members broke opened the door, they found both bodies hanging on a noose on a beam in a small room inside.
Before the police arrived, the family members took down the bodies.
On receiving the information, Ratlam Rural SDOP Kishore Patanwala along with Namli Police Station in-charge Patiram Dawre and other officials reached the spot.
Couple married 4 months ago
Father Amba Ram informed the police that the son had done a court marriage four months ago. This was the second marriage of the daughter-in-law, before this the former husband had died, he has no information about him.
The daughter-in-law is a resident of Nagda, she does not have parents, she used to live with her uncle.
