Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): After meetings in Jabalpur, Damoh, Maheshwar, and Indore, state government’s next cabinet meeting will be held on Tuesday in Pachmarhi.
Due to weather conditions, the meeting will take place at the Raj Bhavan.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and his cabinet will take decisions in memory of Raja Bhabhut Singh. Pachmarhi holds historical importance for the Gond king, who used the hilly region for administration, security, and protecting cultural heritage.
Pachmarhi has hosted cabinet meetings before, including during former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh’s time.
It is also known for BJP’s strategy camps. Pachmarhi is famous as the city of Lord Bholenath. It is Madhya Pradesh’s only hill station.
The local administration is preparing for this meeting, which will be held in memory of Raja Bhabhut Singh, the son of the Jagirdar of Pachmarhi. Several ministers are expected to reach Pachmarhi today in preparation.
For the meeting, Raj Bhavan was chosen as the venue after plans to hold it at Pine Forest or Grand View Hotel lawns were changed due to weather. Tents were planned at Pine Forest and Grand View Hotel, but the meeting will now be held at Raj Bhavan.
The cabinet meeting on June 3 will honor the bravery of Raja Bhabhut Singh, known as the Shivaji of Narmadanchal.
He fought against the British during the First War of Independence using guerrilla warfare tactics.
The Dhoopgarh peak in Pachmarhi is about 1,350 meters (4,429 feet) above sea level. It is a major attraction in the Satpura range. The sunrise and sunset seen from Dhoopgarh attract many tourists and show the strategic and natural importance of the Gond kingdom. Pachmarhi
