Sarvapitri Amavasya Donation: Sarvapitri Amavasya is considered to be the last and most important day of Pitru Paksha. This date is dedicated to all those known and unknown ancestors whose death date is not known or whose Shradh could not be performed for some reason. It is believed that at the end of Pitru Paksha, the souls of the ancestors return to their world after blessing their relatives. In such a situation, if Tarpan, Pinddaan, and donation are done on this day according to faith and rules, then the ancestors are very happy and give the blessing of happiness, peace, and prosperity to their descendants.

On this auspicious occasion, a special tradition also has importance: preparing a donation basket. In this basket, useful items like grains, clothes, sesame, jaggery, Panchameva, Dakshina, and Shradh material are kept and donated to a Brahmin, temple, or needy person. This not only becomes a means of satisfaction of the soul of the ancestors, but also wealth, health, and good fortune remain in the life of the person who donates.
