Today, on Akshaya Tritiya, with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham, the Char Dham Yatra will be formally inaugurated. The Bhogamurti Vigraha Doli of Maa Ganga left for Gangotri Dham from Mukhaba village on Tuesday at 11:57 am in Abhijit Muhurta.

The Vigraha Doli of Maa Ganga will rest at Bhairo Valley at night. On Wednesday morning, on Akshaya Tritiya, the Doli of Maa Ganga will reach Gangotri Dham. Where the doors of the temple will be opened at 10:30 am with rituals.
At the same time, preparations are in full swing for the arrival of Maa Yamuna in Yamunotri Dham and the departure of Yamuna ji in Kharsali village, the maternal home of Maa Yamuna. On the auspicious festival of Akshaya Tritiya, the Doli of Maa Yamuna will leave for Yamunotri Dham from its winter residence in Kharsali village at 8:30 am and after reaching the Dham and taking a bath, etc., the doors of the temple will be opened for the devotees at 11.55.
Three-phase plan for traffic management
The Chardham Yatra route has been divided into 15 super zones, 41 zones, and 217 sectors. The police have also activated a total of 624 CCTV cameras on the Yatra route this time. Nine ASP and DSP level officers have been instructed to camp at different places on the Yatra route. Along with this, for the first time this year, a demand for 10 companies of paramilitary forces has also been made from the central government. Big preparations have been made for the most important traffic plan.

This year, traffic management will be done based on plans A, B, and C. Under this, alternative routes have been marked in case of crowds and excessive crowds on various routes. Officers and employees have also been deployed on these.
