An Air India flight from Mumbai to Newark, AI191, made a precautionary return to Mumbai on Tuesday due to a suspected technical issue.
The Boeing 777 flight to Newark, which departed at around 1:50 am on Wednesday, remained airborne for over three hours before returning to Mumbai, according to flight tracking website Flightradar24.com.
The aircraft landed safely and is now undergoing necessary inspections, airline's spokesperson confirmed.
