WrestleMania 41: Roman Reigns to take a break from WWE?

Roman Reigns suffered a big setback at WrestleMania 41 Night 1 when Paul Heyman, his Wiseman, betrayed him again and helped Seth Rollins beat him and CM Punk at ‘The Show of Shows’. In the storyline, this unexpected turn of events may force OTC to take a break from WWE for a while and reassess the situation. In other words, fans may not get to see him on television for some time after the events that transpired tonight. 

Roman Reigns to be off WWE programming after WrestleMania 41?

Roman Reigns,one of the WWE’s biggest draws, has been working a lighter schedule of late. He appeared only sporadically on the Road to WrestleMania and even missed the Elimination Chamber event.  Additionally, in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, the former ‘Big Dog’ said that he plans to retire in a couple of years.

 Given this, there is a possibility of him staying off WWE programming in the foreseeable future to ‘sell’ the devastating impact of Heyman’s actions on his emotional well-being. Doing so will also help him recuperate from the grueling match. The given situation is, however, hypothetical, but in the realm of possibility at this point. One is likely to get clarity on his post-WrestleMania plans on this week’s episode of Raw. 

Paul Heyman has a chequered history with CM Punk

Roman Reigns shared a strong rapport with Paul Heyman, his Wiseman. The veteran manager often accompanied him to the ring and served as a source of inspiration. He, however, backstabbed the star by choosing to be in CM Punk’s corner at WrestleMania 41. Tonight, at the show, Heyman appears to reconcile with Reigns when he handed him a chair after betraying Punk. However, he eventually turned on the ‘OTC’ again and aligned with Seth Rollins. 

WrestleMania 41 Night 1 was held in Las Vegas on April 19.
