Chelsea could be handed an unexpected transfer windfall if Omari Hutchinson leaves Championship team Ipswich Town to join Nottingham Forest this summer. The 21-year-old has been the subject of interest - from Forest - since the Tractor Boys were relegated at the end of last season.
Last month, Ipswich rejected a bid worth £35m from the Midlands outfit for the England U21s international.
Kieran McKenna's side are reportedly desperate to keep hold of Hutchinson, who was a crucial figure in Ipswich's promotion to the Premier League in the 2023/2024 season, while on loan, before joining the club on a permanent basis last summer.

Sky Sports claims that Hutchinsonwants to make back to the Premier League - although Ipswich are holding out for a figure closer to £40m.
A potential exit from the City Ground will be music to the ears of Stamford Bridge officials, who inserted a 25 per cent sell-on clause in the deal that saw Hutchinson leave Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis last summer.
Regardless of how much Chelsea may pocket from Hutchinson's departure, it is a windfall that will come in handy in their pursuit of Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho.
The Blues are interested in signing the Argentine forward from United before the window closes on September 1, with the two clubs locked in negotiations over a deal.
In addition to Garnacho, Chelsea are also working on a deal to sign RB Leipzig playmaker Xavi Simmons. However, on Monday afternoon, it was reported that Manchester City are eyeing a swoop for the Netherlands international, as well.
Chelsea begin their Premier League season against Crystal Palace next Sunday, before matches against West Ham and Fulham before the end of the month, though it will be a new-look team that takes to the field in west London after the signings of Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, Estevao, Jorrell Hato and more.
